Madelynne Hastings
Maddy is a Consultant at IER, managing and delivering evaluations of behavioural, attitudinal, economic, and social impacts for events in the leisure and business events sectors. She collaborates with the team at IER, including data analysts and survey developers, to provide comprehensive evaluation reports for major clients.
Maddy began her career as an event organiser for non-profit organisations, and over the past six years has worked across two state tourism organisations in the areas of government relations, major and regional event funding and bidding for international business events.
Surrounded by events for as long as she can remember, Maddy brings a genuine passion to the role. She’s drawn to the energy, logistics, and the broader social and economic benefits that events can deliver. This drives her commitment to supporting event organisers, tourism bodies, and governments in recognising the important role event tourism plays in Australia’s visitor economy.
Maddy holds a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology majoring in public relations.
